2016 EDE training Update

Better World Cameroon is currently hosting the first Cameroon Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) training 2016. We are blessed to have an enthusiastic cross section of Cameroonians from the local community and as far away as Bertoua  along with  a few international participants.  We are half way through the course already!
Our intention is to set up a sustainable, cooperative agribusiness incubator network for Africa. Adapting the course to  Cameroonian and African perspectives, the bioregional EDE blueprint is designed to integrate tested indigenous climate adaptation, green building , agro-ecology and modern techniques of social innovation into a holistic  model of sustainable development for Africa.

About Bafut Ecovillage Project

To understand our impact on both local and world climate we need to recognize the affects of urbanization, agricultural systems and the ecosystems they depend on.
The Bafut Ecovision 2020 is an opportunity to apply indigenous local knowledge in community forums to provide alternative ideas, support local entrepreneurs, create sustainable food systems while both mitigating and transforming the community’s impact on climate. Everything we do has consequences and with knowledge, support and the will to create a positive outcome, we can make a difference.
