OBJECTIVES:

  • To support young people and women on the frontline, taking up the challenges and opportunities of urban growth using businesses which explore the inclusive green economy in the pursuit of low-emissions;
  • To promote flexible participatory approaches to accommodate the different contexts of local communities to engage at their own pace.

PRINCIPLES:

  • Sustainability guidance and a customized framework to address local governance to analyze ecosystems, take action and accelerate the development of low emissions in policies, plans and processes;
  • Empowerment of local communities to activate and manage global protocols for sustainable development;

  • Greater understanding of strengths and weaknesses of local capacity;
  • Empowering farmers to address climate change and improve livelihoods through the identification and promotion of High Value Agricultural Products (HVAP).
