Standing & Thriving Together for Systems Change

Defend the Sacred Alliance DSA, after the burning down of the Bafut Permaculture Heritage Site in Cameroon, is having exploratory discussions with the Better World Team in Portugal on a possible call to action and world view on the Ambazonian liberation struggle as part of the system change reflections in the world.

Bafut Ecovillage served as the launchpad to over 300 new breed of Permaculture changemakers delivering sustainable community projects for system change within the sustainability movement.

Despite diverse Permaculture initiatives designed to create connections and opportunities for youth/women empowerment across continents, well-intentioned projects from the English speaking system are not always recognized and accepted by the French Cameroun dictatorship; so Bafut Ecovillage could not achieve greater success because of government alienation policy that erodes trust, provokes resentment and impede cooperation.

With Mentorship and guidance from DSA Bafut Ecovillage has high hopes of a new direction to reach the heights it set for itself; to dispel the myth about the ineffectiveness of African systems and to bring essential contributions to approaches to climate change adaptation in a way that is intimately connected to equity.

This new journey of cocreation enhances the more popular advent of systems change promoted in the world by DSA that can lead to more comprehensive, lasting, and effective transformation for communities, neighborhoods, women, and youth groups.
