This summer the Augustinian Catholic Priest and Spiritual leader Padre Harold M. Toledano led 7 young priests in training for a sacred retreat in the Ndanifor Permaculture Ecovillage, from the 24th to the 29th of July 2016. During their stay at the NPE, the priests held mass with the people of Alegnwi, as they negotiated the two worlds of Mental and Spiritual upheaval. Joshua and Sonita facilitated a work session on the Vision of BWC and the Spirit of Ndanifor, thus opening the landscapes of the Bafut Ecovillage, towards raising the young priests toward a new dimensional spiritual experience.
This retreat was also an opportunity for BWC to give insight and shed more light on the long journey which has brought us this far and to showcase our strong belief that, communal life and effort is the key to bridging any ethnic and cultural barriers which stand in the way of development. This is the key all of BWC’s principles and is the underlying factor to all what has been accomplished so far. We believe it’s an ideal which is essential to all peoples who aspire for change in whatever form and who wish to see the advent of a planet where everyone’s voice matters.
At the end, the retreat inspired Padre Toledano to adopt an energetic shift in his calling in order to gain a higher understanding and level of spiritual consciousness.
One of the young trainees said the experience had broadened his perspective on life and the place of God in it, thus permitting his alignment with the sacred spirit of the place and the beauty of nature altogether, as the physical embodiment of God Almighty; which in itself is a better inheritance for future generations. Another trainee reported that the experience had granted him the confidence to incorporate new systems of thinking into his life, thus adopting an earth centered way of living for posterity. As a parting gift, BWC fellowshipped with the priests on their last day at the NPE and promising to keep our relations going.
Everyone went home satisfied with this new step ahead, in the Bafut Ecovision 2020.
