Better World Cameroon (BWC) in collaboration with Tamera Healing Biotope Portugal and OHANA is pleased to announce its upcoming Cameroon Symposium coming up from the 3rd to the 5th of April 2020.
Better World Cameroon, through a partnership with its Portuguese partner Tamera Healing Biotope, is currently in Portugal building connections, partnerships and a platform that allows BWC to give momentum to addressing the dire humanitarian situation of the displaced youth in the North-West and South-West regions of Cameroon due to the ongoing civil war. We hope to use our Ecovillage and Permaculture concepts to train young people and provide them with skills that will allow them to build their own futures in Cameroon. This will consequently lead to the reverse of the migration trend from Cameroon and Africa to Europe.
The Cameroon Symposium is an event organized by Better World Cameroon to open a space in Europe for a “Mundo Melhor”, using an African model of Social Ecology, Entrepreneurship & Partnership. It is the starting block for the emergence of Better World Portugal / Mundo Melhor Portugal. We will be sharing with friends and partners our story and journey so far and our new vision for the Cameroonian youth with respect to the ongoing crisis.
During this event, BWC will be presenting its ideas and projects towards contributing to reverse the mass exodus of youth from Cameroon as a result of the crisis, as well as equally welcoming and empowering the displaced youth of both North-West and South-West regions.
It will essentially be a space for discussion and brainstorming, as we are very much open to receive inputs and ideas from our friends and partners on how to materialize this vision. It will be a time of sharing and communing, merging both Western and African cultures, in a relaxed work atmosphere.
The general public is encouraged to sign up for our virtual event on Facebook and to closely follow-up the outcomes of this event on our website and social media pages. This will be an opportunity to get up to speed with Better World Cameroon and its activities in Europe.
